East Finchley Baptist Church is located in East Finchley, North London. Our great desire is to direct people not to ourselves, nor to our church, but to Jesus Christ. He is the centre of our mission as a church which is to "Help people become mature followers of Christ – to grow, to serve, to reach out". Jesus Christ is the object of our witness.

We are an independent evangelical church - independent in that we are not part of a denominational organisation, and 'evangel' in terms of what we believe. East Finchley Baptist is a member of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC).

As a church we exist to bring glory to God by making Jesus Christ known, and equipping people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus. Therefore, in all that we do we try to explain the Bible clearly, and so enable people to understand and respond to its message. There are three basic aims at the heart of all we do:

1. Mission - to reach out - we believe that the good news of Jesus is for everyone. That means we work actively to share what God has shown us with others.

2. Maturity - to build up - we believe that the Bible is God’s word and so we need to take its message seriously. In our Sunday services and in small groups in the week we encourage one another to understand it and live by it so that we can beW built up as disciples of Jesus.

3. Ministry - to serve and send out - we believe that we’re called to be involved in God’s work everywhere. This means helping and serving one another as well as in our work, and also sending out and supporting people who are serving God in this country and overseas.
