Little Fishes is our baby & toddler group for all children
aged 0-3 and their parents/carers. We meet on Friday mornings at
9.30-11.15am (term time only) at East Finchley Baptist Church.
There is a small charge of £2.00 for each session (plus 50p for
additional siblings over 6 months) which covers the cost of running
the group including refreshments.
The group is run by volunteers from the church and has a Christian
ethos. All our volunteers undergo a Criminal Records Bureau check
and the church has a child protection policy which is available
from the church office on request.
There is currently a waiting list for this group, please ring
the church office if you wish to be added to the list.
Aims
- To provide a safe and stimulating environment for young
children to play and learn.
- To support parents and carers and provide an opportunity to
relax and make friends.
- to introduce adults and children to our Christian community at
East Finchley Baptist Church.
Activities
We have a wide range of toys and activities available
including:
- Physical play (ride-ons, see-saws, slide, soft play)
- Role play (dressing up, kitchen/home corner, tools)
- Small world (trains, cars, dolls house)
- Craft table
- Baby area & Book corner
- Singing time
- And much much more (bricks, duplo, puzzles…)
Facilities
There's plenty of space to park buggies on arrival so the hall is
free and safe for play.
There are steps down from the foyer to the hall, but there is
disabled access round the back of church - please contact us for
more details.
We have the usual toilets as well as child steps, potties and baby
change facilities.
There is no car park, but parking is available on Creighton
Avenue.
Typical Session
9.30 - 10.20am - Adult café (real coffee & free papers!)
& free play for the children
10.20am - Children's snacks and drinks (typically rice cakes,
bread sticks & fruit)
10.40am - Craft & activities on the day's theme
11.00am - Singing and Bible story with the story bag
11.15am - Hometime
